Conventional smoke tests and aerosol-based methods in flow measurement are increasingly reaching their limits – especially in clean rooms, production facilities with high hygiene requirements and sensitive manufacturing processes. With the innovative FlowBOS technology (Background Oriented Schlieren = BOS) from LaVision, the use of contaminating smoke particles or aerosols is a thing of the past.

Flow measurement without contamination. With FlowBOS, LaVision offers a powerful and contamination-free alternative to conventional smoke tests. Instead of using aerosols or smoke particles, our system works with optically active tracer gases or temperature gradients that remain invisible to the naked eye. Not only can the FlowBOS system replace most standard smoke tests, but it also opens up new possibilities for efficient cleanroom production.
