With the FlowBOS SE (Standard Edition) camera and the FlowBOS LD (Large Distance) camera, LaVision offers two highly developed and scalable systems specifically for detecting and analyzing gas leaks. The FlowBOS SE is particularly suitable for flexible applications in production and research, while the FlowBOS LD has been specially developed for large-scale applications on pipelines and extensive industrial plants. Both cameras use the Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) method to visualize gas leaks, such as hydrogen and ammonia, in real time – completely contact-free.

The FlowBOS SE camera is designed for permanent use in stationary BOS applications. It combines high image quality with a compact housing that is ideal for integration into existing measurement environments. Thanks to flexible mounting options, network-compatible control and low-maintenance operation, it delivers reliable measurement results over long periods of time – for example, for continuous monitoring of hydrogen leaks in test environments, laboratories or technical rooms.

FlowBOS LD camera - Reliable BOS measurement
over long distances

The FlowBOS LD camera was specially developed for demanding BOS measurements with large measuring distances and dynamic backgrounds. Thanks to its robust design (IP44), interchangeable lenses and detachable tablet, it offers intuitive control and interactive visualization directly on site. It is particularly suitable for large-scale outdoor applications, such as the reliable detection and monitoring of hydrogen emissions at pipelines, pumping stations and storage and production facilities.
